How to use sunscreen in the Red Sea sun
The sun in Sharm is stronger than most guests expect. A few simple habits prevent most sunburns.

• Choose SPF 30–50, and SPF 50 for children and fair skin. • Apply it 15–20 minutes before going out, and use enough: about a teaspoon for the face and neck. • Reapply every 2 hours and after every swim or towel dry, even if the label says water-resistant. • Don't forget ears, neck, feet and the back of the knees. • Between 11:00 and 16:00 the sun is strongest: shade, a hat and sunglasses help. • If you do burn, cool the skin, use an after-sun gel and drink plenty of water. If you get blisters, fever or chills, ask a pharmacist or a doctor.
